Our Little Superheros

For Halloween this year Lauren and Grant decided that they wanted to dress like Super Why (a new show on PBS). So Grant dressed like Super Why, who has the power to read, and Lauren dressed like Princess Presto, who has the power to spell! Ella's costume is unrelated, but she made for a very cute mermaid. Lauren and Grant are both at preschool today and were so excited to dress up and show all their friends. We also had a Halloween Carnival at church on Saturday. Everyone dressed up but me. I figured that I had dressed up like a 1950's homemaker the night before and now it was time to dress as a modern day homemaker (complete with tennis shoes and all), which was much more comfortable. At the carnival there were games, trick-or-treating, a chili cook-off, and a cake walk. The kids and I had a fun time decorating a cake to donate to the cake walk, but let's admit that they loved the candy the best!

Way to pull of Super Why and Princess Presto! The furthest I go with creating a costume is buying it at the store and placing it on my child. Your kids are lucky to have such creative parents!
