Grant read his first book today and we wanted to catch it on video. Ella wants to get in on the video camera action too.

I asked Ella one day if she would stay little forever. She responded by saying, "I be rockstar Mommy!" So I took that as a "no". 2y
This is Ella's first official funny sentence. I can't wait for more silliness from her as her language skills improve.

We have made a new mealtime rule that is somewhat silly but says: You're done when your seat leaves your bum. After church one day I asked Grant how his primary class was and if he was good for his teacher. He then said:
"I stayed in my seat the whole time but Alex and Kotaro, their seats kept leaving their bums" (speaking of his classmates)

Lauren: "Grant what is your favorite part of your body?"
Grant: "My mouth, because it helps get food to my tummy and I love food!" (that couldn't be more true)

Situation: It's 6:30 on Sunday morning. I hear something down in the kitchen. I come downstairs to find cake mix all over the floor and all over Grant's pajamas.
Harvey: "Grant, you need to have Mom or Dad help you to make a cake."
Grant: "But I'm not making a cake, I'm just mixing it."
Harvey: "Oh..."

Way to go, Grant! Your kids are so cute and I'm so glad that we can keep in touch now! I think that blogging is one of the best ways to stay updated. Bear Lake was fun, but definitely not the same without the whole Smith clan there. I was hoping that you could make it so that we could go and look for boys! Ha ha! I was such a weirdo.
