We have made a new mealtime rule that is somewhat silly but says: You're done when your seat leaves your bum. After church one day I asked Grant how his primary class was and if he was good for his teacher. He then said:
"I stayed in my seat the whole time but Alex and Kotaro, their seats kept leaving their bums" (speaking of his classmates)

Lauren: "Grant what is your favorite part of your body?"
Grant: "My mouth, because it helps get food to my tummy and I love food!" (that couldn't be more true)

Situation: It's 6:30 on Sunday morning. I hear something down in the kitchen. I come downstairs to find cake mix all over the floor and all over Grant's pajamas.
Harvey: "Grant, you need to have Mom or Dad help you to make a cake."
Grant: "But I'm not making a cake, I'm just mixing it."
Harvey: "Oh..."

Great job Lauren!! I am so proud of you! That is simply amazing that a 5-year-old can play the violin.
rach, is lauren really that old?!?! the better question is am I really that old??? :) beautiful job, lauren. i played the violin all growing up, and actually got a little teary while watching. an excellent start!

This is so sweet! I made sure Anna had a chance to watch & she loved it. The struggles pay off, slowly but surely. Lauren is doing great!
