Our not so subtle boy

Today at church we had our primary program presentation. It turned out really well. Lauren and I even had the chance to sing part of a song together. Lauren sang right out and did a great job! The most entertaining part though was Grant. He was quite vocal today in sacrament meeting, but luckily in a funny way. First, he needed to go to the bathroom during the sacrament, but before we made our exit he had to proclaim to his friend a couple pews ahead of us "Olivia, I'm going to the bathroom". Then on the way back in (still during the sacrament) he was upset that he missed the passing of the bread. He kept saying over and over in a not so quiet voice, "I want some bread". I tried my best to hush him and finally had to resort to giving him some fruit snacks to end the his repeated demand for bread and to also avoid a meltdown. Last of all, when the kids went up to the podium for the program Grant did the typical "hi Lauren" shout.

One last cute thing. In primary, one of the classes had made some cute paper flowers for "the Bishop". They flocked to Harv after church to present their artwork to him. Harv was very gracious in accepting their gifts. It was fun for me to observe how proud all the kids were to give something to Harv that they had made themselves. As I looked at the flowers closer once I got home I got a good laugh. One said "BOO, I love you", and another said "BYU rules"--very cute.

Very cute story. I can't believe your program is over. Ours is in two weeks and I can't wait to stop stressing over it. (I am the chorister)

Boo I love you! I've tried that in a dark alley, I didn't get the same response...but I din't have flowers. I miss the good old days of Sunday projects and clip on ties.

I was thoroughly entertained by Grant on Sunday! I loved how proud he was when he told Olivia that he was going to the bathroom. Like "Hey everybody, I don't use diapers anymore! I am a big boy and use the toilet!" And then the bread chant topped it off. Glad you wrote this down so you can tell Grant about this funny incident in the future.
